The Book of Purification and its Sunnah

ENGLISH

It was narrated from 'Abdul Jabbar bin Wa'il that his father said:

"A bucket was brought to the Prophet; he rinsed his mouth and spat into it, and it was like musk or better than musk, and he rinsed his nostrils outside the bucket."

ARABIC

حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أُتِيَ بِدَلْوٍ فَمَضْمَضَ مِنْهُ فَمَجَّ فِيهِ مِسْكًا أَوْ أَطْيَبَ مِنَ الْمِسْكِ وَاسْتَنْثَرَ خَارِجًا مِنَ الدَّلْوِ ‏.‏
