The Book of Marriage

ENGLISH

'Uthman (b. 'Affan) reported it directly from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) that he said:

A Muhrim should neithermarry (in that state) nor make the proposal of marriage.

ARABIC

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، جَمِيعًا عَنِ ابْنِ، عُيَيْنَةَ - قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، - عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏

‏ الْمُحْرِمُ لاَ يَنْكِحُ وَلاَ يَخْطُبُ ‏
