Hadith 18
The Book of Musaqah
Ubaidullah b. Abu Yazid heard Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) as saying:
Usama b. Zaid reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: There can be an element of interest in credit (when the payment is not equal).
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لِعَمْرٍو - قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ الآخَرُونَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ، اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، يَقُولُ أَخْبَرَنِي أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
إِنَّمَا الرِّبَا فِي النَّسِيئَةِ
