Hadith 23
The Book of Clothes and Adornment
ENGLISH
Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade dyeing (one's cloth or hair) in saffron. Hammad said that it pertains to men only.
ARABIC
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَأَبُو الرَّبِيعِ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ، بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَقَالَ الآخَرَانِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنِ التَّزَعْفُرِ . قَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي لِلرِّجَالِ .
