Hadith 2774
Musnad of 'Abdullah bin al-'Abbas bin 'Abdul-Muttalib from the Prophet
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"Jibreel took Ibraheem to Jamratal-'Aqabah, where the Shaitan appeared to him; he struck him with seven pebbles and he sank into the ground. Then he took him to al-Jamratal-Wusta, where the Shaitan appeared to him; he struck him with seven pebbles and he sank into the ground. Then he came to al-Jamratal-Quswa (the furthest Jamrah) where the Shaitan appeared to him; he struck him with seven pebbles and he sank into the ground. And when Ibraheem wanted to slaughter his son lshaq, (the latter) said to his father: O my father, tie me up so that I will not shake, lest my blood come on you when you slaughter me. So he tied him up, but when he took out the blade and wanted to slaughter him, a ram came from behind him: “O Abraham! You have fulfilled the dream” (as-Saffat 37:104,105).
