Hadith 1040
Musnad 'Ali Ibn Abi Talib
ENGLISH
It was narrated from `Ali (رضي الله عنه) that he said:
Shall I not tell you of the best of this ummah after its Prophet (ﷺ)? [It is] Abu Bakr, then ʻUmar (رضي الله عنهما).
ARABIC
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، وَشُعْبَةَ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ خَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ بَعْدَ نَبِيِّهَا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ عُمَرُ.
