Hadith 1410
The Musnad of az-Zubair bin al-'Awwam
It was narrated from az-Zubair bin al-`Awwam that a man gave a mare called Ghamrah or Ghamra` [for jihad], then he found a horse or a colt for sale which was said to be from that mare, but he was told not to buy it.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي التَّيْمِيَّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا، حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ يُقَالُ لَهَا غَمْرَةُ أَوْ غَمْرَاءُ وَقَالَ فَوَجَدَ فَرَسًا أَوْ مُهْرًا يُبَاعُ فَنُسِبَتْ إِلَى تِلْكَ الْفَرَسِ فَنُهِيَ عَنْهَا.
