Hadith 1.2

The Rites of Pilgrimage

ENGLISH

‘Umara b. Khuzaima b. Thabit said on his father's authority that when the Prophet (ﷺ) finished his talbiya, he asked God for His good pleasure and for paradise, and asked Him to preserve him in His mercy from hell. Shafi'i transmitted it.

ARABIC

وَعَنْ عِمَارَةَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ تَلْبِيَتِهِ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ رِضْوَانَهُ وَالْجَنَّةَ وَاسْتَعْفَاهُ بِرَحْمَتِهِ مِنَ النَّارِ. رَوَاهُ الشَّافِعِي
