Hadith 8.2

The Rites of Pilgrimage

ENGLISH

Ibn ‘Abbas reported God’s messenger as saying, “Shaving is not a duty laid on women ; only clipping the hair is incumbent on them. Abu Dawud and Darimi transmitted it.

ARABIC

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَيْسَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ الْحَلْقُ إِنَّمَا عَلَى النِّسَاءِ التَّقْصِيرُ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالدَّارِمِيُّ
