Hadith 60
Chapters on the description of the Day of Judgement, Ar-Riqaq, and Al-Wara'
Muhammad bin Al-Munkadir narrated from Jabir, that a man was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet (ﷺ) for his worship and striving in it, and another man was mentioned for his cautious piety. So the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"Nothing is equal to cautious piety."
حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ الطَّائِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي الْوَزِيرِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمَخْرَمِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ نُبَيْهٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ ذُكِرَ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِعِبَادَةٍ وَاجْتِهَادٍ وَذُكِرَ عِنْدَهُ آخَرُ بِرِعَةٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
لاَ تَعْدِلْ بِالرِّعَةِ
