Chapters on Supplication
Al-Bara' bin `Azib (ra) narrated that:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to lay his head upon his right hand when going to sleep, then say: “My Lord, safeguard me from Your punishment the Day You resurrect Your slaves (Rabbi qinī `adhābaka yawma tab`athu `ibādak).”
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، - هُوَ السَّلُولِيُّ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، رضى الله عنهما قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَتَوَسَّدُ يَمِينَهُ عِنْدَ الْمَنَامِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ
رَبِّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ
