Hadith 31
Zakat (Kitab Al-Zakat)
ENGLISH
Anas said when some meat was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ), he asked What is this? He was told this is a thing (meat), which was given as sadaqah to Barirah. Thereupon, he said it is sadaqah for her and a gift to us.
ARABIC
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أُتِيَ بِلَحْمٍ قَالَ " مَا هَذَا " . قَالُوا شَىْءٌ تُصُدِّقَ بِهِ عَلَى بَرِيرَةَ فَقَالَ " هُوَ لَهَا صَدَقَةٌ وَلَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ " .
