'Aqqar bin Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah narrated from his father who said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"Whoever seeks treatment by cauterization, or with Ruqyah, then he has absolved himself of At-Tawakkul (reliance upon Allah)."

‏ مَنِ اكْتَوَى أَوِ اسْتَرْقَى فَقَدْ بَرِئَ مِنَ التَّوَكُّلِ ‏
