It was narrated from Hafsah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"There is no fast for the one who did not make it incumbent upon himself from the night before."

لاَ صِيَامَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَفْرِضْهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ
